A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson:
- Activity: “4 Pics, 1 Word” Game
- Images: debates, laws, politicians, rallies
- Answer: NATION
- Ask: “How are debates and rallies related to politics?”
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson:
- “Today, we’ll explore how political science helps us understand politics and why people study it. We’ll also find out how political science makes us better citizens.”
C. Presenting illustrative examples/instances of the lesson:
- Play a short video explaining Political Science
- Ask:
- “Why do we need to study politics?”
- “What is the difference between the practice and study of politics?”
